Interview by BM

20100209 18:43

I have always enjoyed doing interview. It is simple, but it is an opportunity to play with lights. Honestly, I know nuts about lighting…

Executive director of International Sharia Research Academy For Islamic Finance (ISRA) Mohamad Akram Laldin speaks to Reuters during an interview at his office in Kuala Lumpur February 8, 2010. Islamic banks are expected to move more deeply into riskier, equity-based financing as they seek alternatives to controversial debt mechanisms like the tawarruq, Akram said on Monday. Creative Review : Matt Stuart’s Happy Accidents

20100209 03:52

Photographer Matt Stuart’s show, Happy Accidents, opens tonight at the KK Outlet in Hoxton Square…

And what a delight it promises to be. Stuart is something of a specialist in the art of being in the right place at the right time. He roams the streets at every opportunity armed with his trusty Leica, looking for those wonderful instances where circumstance collide, and happy accidents occur… Here are a few images that will be exhibited at the show which runs until February 27 at the KK Outlet, 42 Hoxton Square, London N1 6PB

It’s about street photography. CM would love this.

Architect Razin’s House

20100208 08:46

2010_02_08_01.jpg

Razin was my roommate during my university days. We were architecture buddy and also photography buddy. We used to window shopping, I mean just looked at Nikon F3, but no money lah… Razin pursue his architecture passion and I decided to be a ‘tukang gambar’.

Razin is based in Johor Bahru.

We talked about designing our own architect’s house two years ago. Razin’s dream ‘dah menjadi’, mine masih lagi duduk ding dong ding dong…

Razin’s Architect House was on TV3’s Nona yesterday.

I texted him about it, then he replied that he is in Yogyakarta and missing the program. Oh well Jim (I call Razin as Jim, namer glamer…), I’m your big buddy man, just click HERE, and you still can watch it.

20100208 04:45

I had a flashback the other day when I was looking at photographs from Haiti of 15-year-old Fabianne Geismar, shot dead in the head after stealing wall hangings from a Port-au-Prince store, crushed in the Jan. 12 earthquake.
